PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The contract for the design,construction and completion of 355mm TWIN HDPE SUBMARINE WATER PIPELINE and ancillary works from Tanjong Manis to Pulau Bruit of Mukah Division was awarded by the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development,Malaysia (Kementerian Kemajuan Luar Bandar dan Wilayah ,Malaysia)
Wibawa Works was engaged by PPES Works (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd for the laying of submarine pipeline project of 355mm TWIN HDPE WATER PIPELINE to supply fresh water to Pulau Bruit in Sarawak,Malaysia. The overall work for this project comprised of two strings of 355mm OD HDPE submarine water pipeline at a length of 1,100 meters
The major processes of the river crossing submarine pipeline were identified as below:
- Mobilization of Pipe Laying Spread
- Preparation and Pre-installation works
- Double Joint of HDPE Pipes
- Shallow Water Pipe Laying
- Deep Water Pipe Laying (Submarine Pipe Laying)
- GPS Marking of Submarine Pipelines Laid
- Additional Protection System (anchoring) of Submarined Pipelines
- Hydrotesting of Submarined Pipelines
- Backfilling of Pipelines
